Chili

We love chili on a cold day, and my sister recently shared this recipe with me that she got from her friend Nicki.  I think this one is a keeper!  Thanks, Nicki!


Chili 
2 lbs. ground chuck or ground sirloin
1 can of kidney beans (optional)
1 green pepper, chopped fine
1 onion, chopped fine
1 can of rotel tomatoes
1 can of beer
1-46 oz.can of vegetable (tomato) juice
3 T. chili powder
Optional chili toppings...sour cream, cheddar cheese, green onions
Serve with saltine crackers or Fritos Scoops.

Dump all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.  You can also dump all ingredients into a stock pot on the stove and cook for 2-3 hours on low-medium heat.  Watery at first, but will cook down and thicken.  
Top with your favorite toppings and serve with crackers or Frito's.  Enjoy!
